Our comprehensive Flower Menu offers everything from pre-rolls, flower, small edibles and beverages to premium smoking accessories and all the way up to concentrates for experienced connoisseurs. If you’re new to cannabis or haven’t consumed in a while, our Flower Hosts will make recommendations and guide your experience. 

Our cafe offers tourists and locals the opportunity to experience cannabis in a sociable, restaurant-style atmosphere. There hasn’t been anything like this in existence for over 100 years, dating back to pre-prohibition era cannabis tea pads. We’re excited to set the standard on what a US-based cannabis cafe is, and share this rare experience with our like-minded (and inquisitive) cannabis community.

The Original Cannabis Cafe is the world’s first cannabis cafe serving farm fresh food, coffee, juice, and cannabis daily. It’s a creative venture that started over three years ago with the idea to curate a more enjoyable and social alternative to stopping by a dispensary. We’re beyond proud to finally share our concept with the world. Everything was made possible by the City of West Hollywood and their vision for creating experiences and destinations that are welcoming for cannabis consumers. We’re grateful for the city and their continued support with developing the cafe. West Hollywood created eight cannabis consumption licenses and is working with the county and state of California on all legal logistics. We applied and were granted a license first out of over 300+ applicants, making Cannabis Cafe the first business in the U.S. granted a fully legal cannabis consumption license. Thanks to the city’s hard work, we’re able to focus on the cafe’s experience and are excited to become part of the West Hollywood community. We hope that through this revolutionary and trailblazing journey, Cannabis Cafe both honors and embodies this great city’s pioneering spirit for many years to come.

Last call is at 9:50pm, so guests looking to order cannabis must be inside with an order placed before that time.

All guests must be 21+ with a valid form of Government issued ID to visit Cannabis Cafe. Unfortunately, even if you have a medical card, the city does not allow us to admit anyone under the age of 21 onto our premises.

Yes. There is a $25 fee for every two people at your table, or $12.50/person.  So, if you’re a party of 10, your fee to bring your own cannabis is $125 total.

THC is the cannabinoid (aka the compound) in cannabis mainly responsible for the legendary “psychedelic high” experienced when consumed. CBD, on the other hand, is like THC’s more “reasonable” counterpart. One of several non-psychoactive cannabinoids, CBD provides numerous medicinal benefits such as pain relief, anti-inflammation and anti-anxiety, without ever compromising the consumer’s mental clarity and joie de vivre.

The sensations from cannabis are extremely broad and completely subjective. A person’s high can depend on a variety of factors; the quantity and type of product consumed, a strain’s genetic properties, its terpene profile, social and environmental circumstances, etc. Some of the most common effects from cannabis use include but aren’t limited to: euphoria, enhanced mood and creativity, soothing pain relief and powerful sedation. Again, these sensations may depend on the consumer and the specific cannabis consumed.

Smoking and/or vaping cannabis allows THC to reach the brain directly, thus providing an immediate emergence of the aforementioned effects. The duration of a high from smoking may span anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours, depending on the consumer’s tolerance level and prior experience. 

Ingesting cannabis (such as edibles) is entirely different from other forms of consumption and may take up to 1-3 hours for the high to fully kick in. In this case, the onset time is delayed because the THC must first pass through the stomach and then the liver, where it’s metabolized. This process converts THC to 11-hydroxy-THC creating a more intense high than from smoking the herb. These effects can last anywhere from 3-6+ hours depending on the individual’s tolerance, experience, biological chemistry and metabolism.

Cannabis is a powerful herb with incredible healing properties, and it deserves major reverence when being consumed. There is such a thing as “overconsumption” when first experimenting with cannabis. Its yummy and therapeutic effects may turn into an unfavorable experience if the consumer overindulges. Which is why we highly recommend starting slow during your visit at the cafe. Our doting ‘Flower Hosts’ will patiently guide you along a personalized cannabis pilgrimage to understanding your own tolerance and relationship with this wonderful plant medicine. Besides, consuming cannabis is meant to be enjoyed, not rushed.

Remember, cannabis affects each person differently. Because the cannabis experience is distinctly individual and for those who haven’t consumed cannabis before, we’d like to reiterate the seriousness of starting “low and slow”. Meaning the lighter the dose, the better; especially for cannabis newbies. Your comfort and safety mean everything to us at Cannabis Cafe. High CBD and low THC strains are also available for consumption, in addition to less potent vape cartridges for those just getting started. Allow yourself to reach new heights of enlightenment and utter relaxation while our knowledgeable flower hosts take you on a unique journey through the numerous strains of our fresh seasonal harvest crops. We recommend staying hydrated and having some food in your body.

Absolutely! The cafe welcomes cannabis consumers of all kinds. As a canna-pro, you might prefer partaking in our concentrates or puffing on several of our highly potent THC flowers during your stay. Cannabis Cafe strives in providing an elevated experience for all cannabis aficionados in a safe and responsible way. We promise this aromatic voyage will delight the senses of both newcomers and connoisseurs, alike. 

Consult your doctor to better understand how cannabis will affect you. While at the Cannabis Cafe, please be sure to inform your Flower Host of any concerns you may have around consuming cannabis.

Consuming cannabis can further lower your blood pressure, causing you to faint or pass out. Consuming large amounts of water could help mitigate this, but if you have low blood pressure the Cannabis Cafe may not be the right place for you. We recommend consulting with your doctor to better understand how cannabis will affect you.

Stay calm and have someone in your party get the attention of your server or manager. If you are alone, stay at your table and waive a server over. Should you have an issue, our security staff is trained in emergency medical services.

Anyone visibly intoxicated will not be admitted into the cafe. For your and our guest’s safety, we ask that you do not come to the cafe intoxicated under any substances.

We don’t currently sell extracts or have the gear for extracts, but you are welcome to bring your own for $25 (parties of 3 people and under), or $50 (parties of 4 people or more).

Yes. We sell beer and wine on our non-smoking patio.

The cafe prides itself on total inclusivity and acceptance, above all. No judgement here if you don’t feel like consuming cannabis. Enjoy our beautiful cafe at your own pace.  Flower and other cannabis goods will be available for purchase for those who wish to partake.

It’s not required to order food at the bar or communal window. Tables are reserved for guests looking to eat, drink and consume cannabis (if they choose).

Due to current cannabis legislation, we do not offer any infused dishes at Cannabis Cafe. However, there will be limited, pre-packaged, lab tested cannabis infused products available for purchase.

As the first of its kind establishment, we hope to cater to as many cannabis lovers as we possibly can. Due to high demand, guests will have approximately 1.5 hours to decompress and immerse themselves fully in our cafe.

We allow food bills to be split amongst 4 cards max.

Whatever you’re comfortable in! We are an open air restaurant with large windows to help with the air filtration and also have a large outdoor patio with heat lamps. We recommend a sweater/hoodie/jacket if you’re one to get chilly during LA’s “winter months”.

We love animals, but due to health code we don’t allow our furry friends to hang at our cafe; unless it’s a certified service animal. California law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs and psychiatric service dogs, but not emotional support animals, to all public places.

No. We do not allow alcohol inside the cafe (even if it is a closed bottle). Please do not bring beer, wine or hard alcohol with you.  We sell beer and wine on our patio, but that’s it.

Please think of Cannabis Cafe as another fabulous destination in West Hollywood. As a responsible adult you wouldn’t drive under the influence of alcohol after a day or night on the town, nor should you after visiting our iconic establishment. We strongly advise guests DO NOT operate any heavy machinery while under the influence of cannabis. Uber, Lyft or a good ol’ fashioned designated driver is strongly advised for yours and everyone else’s safety.
